Tell us about your favorite pair of shoes, and where they’ve taken you.
In my childhood, the situation in our home was very poor. So I was studying in an ordinary Marathi school. Since our school was ordinary, it was okay to wear slippers, shoes, etc. As for my luck, I never got slippers etc. When I was a kid, I never insisted because I understood the situation at home. Due to the situation at home, I only had a singe pair of white shoes. I always used to wear it to school. I used to wear white shoes for school trips as well. Whenever I had to go for a walk or visit a relative, I used to wear the same white shoes. By the way, because we were poor, we did not go to any functions. We were not that fortunate enough to attend festive events or parties. If I had to go to my friend’s house, I would wear the same white shoes. As a child I also participated in the road police at school, I had my parade every Sunday from morning to afternoon, even then I wore the same shoes. I used to use those shoes so much that when they were worn and torn from the bottom, I used to sew them with my own hands. I used those shoes for many years. Later, as I grew older, I had to stop wearing them when my feet could not fit into them, but I kept them safe. But later when we shifted to another rented house, my brother throw those shoes god knows where!
The prompt of the day on ‘Tell us about your favorite pair of shoes, and where they’ve taken you.’ reminded me of my childhood school shoes.
So here’s my response for today! Thank you to all my bloggers for their support! God bless you all!
